Prudent Magpie

One of the interesting things for me to note over the coming months will be whether I made a mistake in getting fit for clubs so early, and whether, like Bogey, I should have started with a beginners set.

Thing is I got money for my 30th to spend on clubs and I must confess to a penchant for shiny things (as the Scotty Cameron in my bag will testify). I have already been branded as an 'all the gear no idea' I hope that mantra doesn't ring true.

The saving grace is that I am waiting till my swing settles before I get fit for woods. The bad news is that Bogey may well get off to a flier with those extra yards in his bag. Time will tell...
